Looking After Yourself this winter - with expert Arleen Scholton
Last night we had the pleasure of an expert workshop session from Arleen Scholton. She shared so much wisdom with us! It was incredible!
Arleen covered a raft of topics:
- The importance of Vitamin D, especially in winter
- Benefits of breath work
- Vitamin C
- What our Microbiome us and the importance of it
- Calorie Counting myths (no more LowFat, LowSugar,LowCal for us!)
- Good fats/bad fats and their importance
- Which oils to use for cooking and eating and which to avoid
- Tips on getting kids to eat more veg!

More about Arleen: Arleen has been in practice for almost 20 years. Arleen practiced 1st in Amsterdam and then set up in York in 2006, however her accent is purely Canadian. Her passion is helping people regain their health naturally through Chiropractic care and other lifestyle improvements. She is a keen runner, has completed 10 marathons and then got the bug for triathlon and has completed a number of triathlons and 2 1/2 Iron Man Triathlons.
Arleen has 3 children so much of her time is spent driving them to their various sports and events. Arleen has always had a keen interest in nutrition and personal development and believes that now more than ever taking care of our own health is of upmost importance. Pre covid Arleen has spoken at a number of businesses on health and wellness as well as at Chiropractic conferences. Arleen is currently working towards completing her yoga Teacher Training course and launching her podcast on women’s health.
